The PuliDa multi-functional traffic volume survey system employs a combined radar-and-video device featuring dual LiDAR sensors to enhance traffic flow monitoring capabilities, and incorporates license plate capture and recognition cameras to achieve multifunctional traffic volume surveys.

The traffic management subsystem employs dual LiDAR sensors to collect vehicle contour data and other relevant information, combined with high-definition camera video imaging. Utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms and fusion technology, it performs identification and analysis to extract vehicle model data, speed, and other metrics. Additionally, it can capture video streams in real time and calculate traffic volume data. Paired with a license plate recognition subsystem, the system integrates captured images and license plate information into a multifunctional traffic management system. Through intelligent algorithms, it matches vehicles to their respective models, thereby meeting the needs of highway traffic surveys and road condition monitoring.

 
 
 

 

System Architecture

 

Main functions
1. Support for vehicle classification: Classify motor vehicles into nine types, including small and medium-sized passenger vehicles, large passenger vehicles, small trucks, medium-sized trucks, large trucks, extra-large trucks, and motorcycles.
2. Supports traffic survey functionality: It collects statistics on the number of motor vehicles passing through road cross-sections. It supports statistical analysis by direction, by lane, and by vehicle type.
3. Supports vehicle speed survey function at specific locations: Measures the speed of motor vehicles passing through road cross-sections.
4. Support for head-to-tail distance measurement function: Measure the time interval between the passage of the front ends of two consecutive vehicles in a platoon of vehicles traveling in the same lane as they pass a specific cross-section.
5. Supports head-to-head distance measurement function: Measures the distance between the front bumpers of consecutive vehicles traveling in the same lane.
6. Support for vehicle-following percentage analysis: Calculate the percentage of vehicles whose headway is less than or equal to a specified time relative to the total number of vehicles.
7. Supports time occupancy survey function: It statistically analyzes the ratio of the cumulative value of vehicle passage times to the observation period.
8. Supports data transmission functionality: Equipped with data network transmission capabilities, and capable of normally collecting and storing traffic data even after communication is interrupted.
